Introducing the Song:

  • T sings song and leads game. Ss guess who has the object at the end.

  • Repeat activity. Ss listen with two jobs. 1) Who has the object? 2) Which words repeat? 

  • Repeat game, ss turn to their shoulder partner and discuss answers (there are multiple correct answers) 

  • Ss sing phrases 1 and 3 (biddy biddy), T sings phrases 3 and 4 (one go to London)

  • Share background information

  • Where else might the ring be? Ss brainstorm ideas. Come up with two and create an additional ostinato (text only)

  • Example: 

Reading Ta-dimi

  • Read the rhythm of the ostinato on rhythm syllables

  • Where could the ring be? Sight read each line on rhythm syllables 

  • T plays a rhythm, ss ID which one they heard by turning to a shoulder partner and holding up fingers to show their answer
